CITY WORKS DEPOT

Beginning life in the 1960’s as the Auckland council workshops,  City Works Depot (CWD) has been masterfully revitalized by Cheshire Architects as an industrial, yet chic, creative hub consisting of restaurants, cafes and bars. Since early 2013, O2 Landscapes have been actively engaged in the ongoing design and development of the plantings at CWD. This design focuses on combining tough looking native plants with masculine flowering perennials to create an overall aesthetic that complements the industrial architecture. Visitors to City Works Depot are welcomed with an incredibly unique experience, as they are surrounded by award winning architecture and engulfed in a diverse selection of unusual and rare native plants.
