ODETTES EATERY (CWD)

Odettes Eatery is a cafe/restaurant located within the centre of City Works Depot. This garden was designed to seamlessly fit into the surrounding City Works context whilst adapting to a near full-shade planting environment. The brief focused on creating a space that felt hunkered in and engulfed by vegetation, whilst allowing for the space to be manipulated for a variety of functions and seating arrangements. The overall aesthetic of the garden was designed based on plant combinations found in New Zealand's forest understory, and merged that with flowering perennials, creating a unique combination of plants specific to this area of CWD.
